We look at each client as a whole person, and address concerns with a “total body” approach. I.e. someone that is having bloating, stomach aches, nausea, anxiety, and acne might traditionally be referred to see 3 different specialist: a gastroenterologist for stomach issues, a psychologist for anxiety and a dermatologist for acne. Each specialist will (usually) treat each condition in isolation, without considering it’s probably all connected. Many will prescribe medications, like antibiotics, that can help short-term, but may exacerbate issues later.

By taking a whole-body, whole-person approach; we are able to make these connections and get our clients looking and feeling their best as naturally as possible! This is where functional medicine meets aesthetics.

All in all, we take the right steps towards treating concerns with a holistic approach alongside treatment plans, because we care about educating our clients on every level of health and not just looking at surface level concerns. 

Side note: there is nothing wrong with taking medications when needed and we are not encouraging anyone to stop their prescribed medications. Simply making the point that many issues are connected and if tackles at the root cause, can be treated without medication.

Our providers take the time to educate our clients on common root cause(s) of many health and skin concerns, because the body is very interconnected. If there is a symptom/concern, that’s the body’s way of raising a red flag and telling us to, “pay attention!”.

 Even though it may feel like it sometimes, our bodies are not turning against us. They are signaling to us that they need help. Sometimes they start with a small red flag like increased pimples or occasional bloating. Other times, they raise a huge red flag like with auto-immune conditions that cause joint pain and major skin conditions.

There is usually a reason behind it, and instead of prescribing a pill or a “quick fix” we address the various internal causes that might be the culprit. This approach allows clients to fully heal and address concerns directly rather than masking symptoms.
